• Season runs 11/13-3/3 

All registration fees paid to the Illinois Cougars. are used for operating cost, facility rental, and tournament expenses.  There are NO refunds once deposits are made for any program. 

There are NO refunds due to sickness, bad weather, or any unforeseen circumstances out of the control of the program.

In extreme circumstances players could be offered a credit for future programs.

• Teams are divided up based on skill level. We place your child on the best fit team where they can grow with proper development and competition. 
• Teams will consist of 8-10 players per team.

• 2 days of practice week allowing for more development and flexibility for players with other commitments. 
• Practices take place in Chicagoland area and Surrounding suburbs
• Practices start time no earlier than 7pm and finish no later than 9:15 pm.
• Practices consist of skill development as well as building offensive and defensive schemes. Teamwork and defense are the backbone of our philosophy and is emphasized by each coach. Our goal is to build high IQ basketball players.

Please be advised that tournament times and specific locations are typically not released by the tournament’s director until the Wednesday or Thursday to registration and/or other factors out of our control. In the event of a cancellation, we will do our best to reschedule another tournament. Also, teams may be invited to play in local tournaments, at the last minute, due to other teams dropping out. We understand the inconvenience last minute tournament may cause, and we will only agree to play in them if the majority of the team can make it. We will do our best to keep you updated on tournament information as soon as it is released to us. 

Please note, all tournaments and shootouts charge an admission fee for spectators.

• Tryouts will evaluate the players skills through a number of drills and games.
• Tryout groups will be broken down by age when multiple grades. 
• Players are expected to attend both tryouts. 
• If you cannot attend one of the scheduled tryouts or makeup tryout, please contact us at IllinoisCougarsBasketball@gmail.com
• Players should bring their own basketball to tryouts.
• Tryout Fee: $20​ (Pre-Registration Required - Deadline 2/23 - Tryout fee covers both tryouts. 
• Teams and schedule will be posted 3-4 days after tryouts. At that time parents will have the option to register for the season and accept your child's roster spot or not accept their spot.
